VIRGO 4

I'm really not a big degree based astrologer, but something said, “Look at today's degree.”  The Sun is sitting at 4 degrees Virgo, so I checked the Sabian symbol for that degree.  "Black and white children play together happily."  This passage is speaking of a society free from bias.  All you have to do is turn on the news; you will see maybe we are further away from that then we once thought.  When taking a big picture approach, everyone is clinging to some system of thought that gives them the feeling of belonging.  Once you identify with a certain group, any opposing viewpoint is seen as a threat.  The Moon is conjunct the South Node.  There are karmic ties handed down through the family that you emotionally need to break away from.  It's kind of like your favorite t-shirt that is old and has 3 holes in it but you refuse to throw it away.  It brings back memories for you, but it looks horrible.  We are all individual human beings, no matter race or where you were born.  When someone feels bad about themselves they look for someone who they perceive is lower than them to kick thinking this action will make them feel better about their lot in life.  Holding onto these outdated ideologies, is holding us back from evolving.  Everyone needs to be accepted as human.  We are global citizens.  No group is superior over the next.  The Virgo Sun is asking, "How can I serve my neighbor?" not "How can I criticize, put down, or belittle my neighbor?”  I keep preaching know thyself, because once you go within, you will find the presence of (insert your choice of word here) the energy that fuels the universe.  Once you find it in yourself, you will be able to see it in all.  Martin Luther King said "The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends towards justice."
