Are you surrounded by your true tribe, or do you look around and see a flock of buzzards? If so, ask yourself why. The people in your life often reflect who you are inside—your vibe attracts your tribe. As Milli Vanilli once said, “Blame it on the rain,” but in this case, your happiness (or lack of it) depends on you.
Change is the only constant in life, and expecting to stay the same forever isn’t realistic, even if some people try. Others can get used to the way you've always shown up, and when you start to change, they may resist and try to keep you as you were.
The same energy you use to protect yourself from enemies is also needed to defend your boundaries with friends and family. To maintain those boundaries, it’s essential to focus on facts over feelings and approach things with a sense of detachment.
Everyone has faced defeats; it’s easy to point fingers, but how much did you really fight? Actions lead to reactions, and words have consequences. So, if you become a target, it’s no surprise. When that moment comes, do you have the courage to stand your ground, or will you run like a track star? Fight or flight? The answer is not to let yourself feel trapped.
